FOOD DRIVE

The Willard Food Pantry is critically low on food! They have serviced more families in the last two months than they did all last year. We are collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to donate to the pantry.

Donations can be dropped off in your advisory teacher’s room between now and Nov. 6. The advisory class with the most number of donated items will earn a doughnut and milk party!

This week we are working on Astronomy Projects. Each student has picked a topic. We will spend 4 class periods researching/creating final products. If they need more time than this, they will have to work on their own.

Students have the freedom to create whatever they want to demonstrate knowledge of their topic. They must include all research information in their final product. The sample ideas I gave are below but are not limited to these:

Powerpoint

Informational Flyer

Posterboard

Trifold or brochure

Newspaper article

A pretend interview

Song or rap

Trading card

Children’s book

Model or art project

Board Game with at least 20 questions

Cartoon or Illustration

Any other idea? Just get them approved!

PROJECTS ARE DUE ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH

The moon cookies lab was a huge success! Last Thursday we enjoyed practicing the moon phases using Oreos. It was a fun, hands-on, and memorable experience for the kids!
